When data from PO is shown on for example pouët, every kg loss/gain is shown next to a thumbs up/down graphic.
To me thumbs up / down have an intrinsically positive/negative association (I immediately think of some Roman arena)(or nowadays one could think of the all important Facebook / likes) while gaining / losing kgs is not always positive or negative in itself. For example if somebody's a bit too thin, surely gaining a kg or two is can actually be beneficial (but again, not always, it depends on the context)?
In other words the current graphics somehow look to me like they assign a "value" to something that actually depends on context So I propose changing thumbs up/down with a more "reasonable" graphic of plus / minus!
